  HELL TO HEAVEN RESCUE, PART I: After suffering almost two years in tiny cages, thousands of hens were brought to Antonelli Live Market in Providence where RIVA rescued fifteen hens to give them a new life. These photos feature the outside of Little Rhody Farm in Foster as volunteers were not allowed access inside, the conditions inside Antonelli Live Market where hens are killed in front of one another, and Maple Farm Sanctuary, where the rescued hens stayed overnight before being brought to their new home.

   
  HELL TO HEAVEN HEN RESCUE, PART II: These photos feature the hens enjoying life at the UPC sanctuary in West Virginia. Their feathers are growing in beautifully and they are eating a more natural and varied diet without antibiotics. There’s plenty of room to frolic with new friends, enjoy the quiet sounds of nature, or take a leisurely nap. The hens are forever home with plush grass, warm sunshine, and juicy watermelon.

   
  OUTREACH AT GREEN FEST, APRIL 2010: RIVA distributed free information and vegan starter guides at this earth minded festival. We handed out free food samples including brownies, crock cheeze, and organic teriyaki tofu with peanut satay and garlic teriyaki dipping sauces. Mmmm!
