The Story
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
In June 2007, Amos Lyso, a friend of Kids International Ministries, married his young bride YunJin. Just twenty days into their marriage, YunJin was killed in a fatal car accident. It’s times like these that we as humans see the loss and tragedy of life and often question God’s purpose. Amos, however, allowed God to use his unfortunate circumstance to the glory of God and the furthering of His Kingdom. From the proceeds of YunJin’s passing, Amos donated enough money to purchase the property and building that would be come the YunJin Lyso Ministry Center, affectionately referred to as the YMC.

Purpose
In the years since its inception, the YMC has been used to accommodate the short term mission teams that come monthly to serve the community alongside Kids International Ministries. Recently, the grounds at the YMC have opened up to many more ministries. It provides an employment for a large (and growing) number of Filipinos who take care of the grounds, cook, clean, and work construction with our teams. In 2010, construction began behind the YMC on a building that would become an automotive and electrical appliance maintenance training center as well as a library for the Cuatro Christian School, office space for KIM, and a business center for Filipinos.
Our Staff
When you come to visit and work alongside KIM, you will be housed in the YMC and be taken care of by our staff of devoted Filipinos.
