Welcome to New Faith Family Children's Home!
The Long family had been serving as missionaries in the Philippines over ten years when their twelve-year-old daughter, Janel, asked an ever important question: “Dad, why can’t we do more”? The family began praying and within a short period of 21 months, God provided the facility, the people, and the funds to begin this ministry. God brought together a Board from within the Philippines and drew in staff from all over the world. On February 14, 2005, the Long family officically opened the New Faith Family Children’s Home, and the first child was welcomed into the home on March 1, 2005.
Our Children
New Faith Family Children’s Home is located in the densely populated city of Manila , home to approximately 200,000 street kids. Our Children come to us for a variety of reasons. Some have been abused or neglected. Others are simply abandoned. One is a baby whose 16 year old mother was going to abort her, but with a promise of a good home for her baby, she decided to let this precious child have life.
Our Mission Statement
The New Faith Family Children’s Home exists to provide food, shelter, and Gods love to the impoverished children of the Philippines. Our staff will strive to promote an atmosphere of trust, health and safety for the children God brings our way. Our ultimate goal is to see children function normally in a home setting, educational setting and live long, fruitful lives, as they give their God-given talents and abilities back to Him for the further development of the Filipino people.
