Cuatro Christian School was established primarily to provide a quality Christian education to the abandoned, neglected and dependent children from New Faith Family Children’s Home who, mostly, have never been in school due to poverty and other unfortunate circumstances. Before its realization, the first batch of the students from the Children’s Home were sent to Faith Christian School located in Vista Verde Executive Village, Cainta, Rizal; but soon there was the realization that this was not adequate for the children, because of their education and living backgrounds. This realization gave birth to Cuatro Christian School.

The first year, CCS served 45 children, 35 of them from the Children’s Home and 10 who were employees children. The second year, CCS opened its doors for children in the Cuatro Community, an impoverished community just outside the gates of the Children’s Home. This included not just free tuition but providing the children uniforms, materials, and free meals. This offering was out of the love and burden for the children who are deprived and whose parents can not afford to send them to school. Hence, in partnership with Tagumpay Evangelical Christian Baptist Church in Legaspi Compound just 5 minute walk away from the Children’s Home and right in the heart of the Cuatro community, a school building was built in 2007 to accommodate the growing number of children from the Children’s Home and from the community. That same year CCS educated 65 students. The third year, the numbers reached 75 and there was a need to have more classrooms and additional facilities to de-congest and provide a more conducive place for learning for the children.

In 2008, CCS’s prayer was answered. This time in partnership with Jesus Christ Church in the Valley (JCCV) just a stone throw away, CCS was able to find solutions and even expand and able to reach out to more children. The fourth year, with the partnership of both churches, CCS enrolled 120 students. The old CCS facility was used exclusively for pre-school, Kindergarten, and Prep students and the new facility at JCCV, the CCS Annex, for students grade 1-6. Also, that year CCS started its first Special Education Program, educating 4 special needs children. The Fourth year also finished up with a bang, with Dep Ed recognizing CCS and extending a permit for the school. CCS also became a member of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). As CCS enters its fifth year, we have 226 students enrolled and 22 teachers and staff. With the same vision and mission Cuatro Christian School is looking good in 2010. With people’s help in facilitating and sponsoring CCS, we hope to bring more children off the streets into the classrooms, and make a lasting impact in their lives with prayer and a hope that these children will live out their lives as well in a pursuit of a life glorifying to God.

We have the same God whom we are serving. I am so much happy to know that God has been working through my life and to the lives of my students. my passion is to help the children change their lives for the better or the best through teaching. To be more reasponsible and good citizen for the future.

  • Dicky

Why do you want to teach at CCS:
I am not really involved in full time teaching but I help in the administration part. I consider my involvement at CCS as my ministry, where I can teach little lives with my service. I do counseling, tutoring, sometimes teaching in the classroom, keeping records, some cleaning, as well as trying to keep our students clean and fresh. All this and more I do with joy God gives me.
    Favorite thing about your profession:
I love organizing people and things. I also like listening to children when they are having problems and trying to help them and impart God’s words into them.
  • I'm Elizabeth A. William, presently residing at Barangay San Juan, Cainta Rizal. I start teaching in Cuatro Christian School since June 2008, and this year 2010 is now my third year in school. Presently, I teach grade 1 pupils. I teach all the subjects except MAPE (music, arts and PE) and computer class.
I'm happy to belong in this institution. I learned a lot and also a chance to share my skills and knowledge to the children. Its a challenge also for me to face the different behavior and attitudes of children. I'm always thank God that He is always there to guide me. I'm very thankful also the people who always give the support to the children and teachers. I hope that more kids will able to help of this school.
  • I am Ephraim Pol P. Jabian, a graduate of Theology major in Inter-cultural Studies, a musician by heart and a teacher by life. I am currently serving as a Music teacher in Cuatro Christian School and at the same time taking up my Mater’s Degree in Asian Theological Seminary, and at the same time helping the ministry of Jesus Christ Church in the Valley as an administrative pastor.
I have always been living with the principle that “life is learning and learning is life.” I really value education as a basic need for people to have better living. I was able to learn a lot, and am still learning in all the experiences in life. When I accepted the challenge of teaching in Cuatro Christian School there is only one reason I have in mind – I want to help build lives. I am called by the Lord for this purpose. It was God’s leading that I became a part of Cuatro Christian School because this school and I have the same purpose. I accepted the responsibility because I know that through this school I will see transformation in the community through these children. I want to be a part of that great task – the task of bringing people into God through learning. For sure, I will not just teach them skills and theories about music, but most especially, I want them to learn that life is like music. It can sound beautifully or it can sound distortedly depending on the one who plays it. God is our greatest musician, we are the instrument, let us just let him play His masterpiece through us so that the whole world will hear His splendor and majesty – by the music played in our lives.
  • Errol Rosaldo

Today is not only challenging, my first year in teaching was year 2007 with only 36 students from children's home, my second school year was 2008 with 66 students both from community and children's home, after third school year it was expanded and the students triple population with extension campus at Jesus Christ church in the valley (JCCV). Amazing God works little by little but the school bigger and bigger. surprising, i saw, i experience how God works to our school and to the Community. Saving soul and building the kingdom of God is exciting, i cant imagine that i am part of this Teaching team where in students don't know about Jesus will knew and save through teaching Physical fitness and sharing the Gospel(that Jesus Died in the Cross for our sin). Like what Hebrew 13:3 Says: Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Teaching at CCS is very challenging; you meet different kids of pupils with different stories in life. I enjoy understanding their situation and applying what you've learned (moral and biblical truth). It is exciting everyday dealing with the kids and giving love and care as their second parents. Working with the foreign teachers and trying to speak English is fun and exciting.

What I like the most about my profession is the ability to use my knowledge and experience through teaching the Filipino subject to share my language with the students.
  • Gemma P. Flores

This is my second year of teaching here at Cuatro Christian School as SPED teacher. I have now 6 special children 2 boys and 4 girls. I'm handling all subjects for them. It's too hard to handle them altogether so we've decided to have 3 sessions for them to feel comfortable. By God's grace, though I'm undergraduate in SPED, I can manage them well coz God gave me patience, love and compassion with this kind of children. How I wish I could pursue my studies in University of the Philippines for me to be able to handle them well and give the best treatment as I could. Some of them have problem in speech,no retention of memories and attention defficit. I have only limited knowledge how to deal with them. At the end of the day when I went home I brought their smiles that made me feel good. I thank God for entrusting me this kids.I love them for who and what they are... I also thank the administrators for giving me another chance to be with this team... a soul winning team... This is what I wanted most...To God be the glory!
  • Honey Lei Denosca Cadiente
    Grade 2c - Acts Adviser
    Math Teacher Grades 2 - 6

God indeed is really great in my life! It didn't across in my mind that I will be teaching again. He used His servant to know this Cuatro Christian School, Inc. Much to my surprise, I came here with no doubts in my heart because I believe that this is God's plan and purpose in me. I appreciates the kindness and goodness that the staffs and children showed to me. This school really changes the lives of every individual who comes in because God is the center of it! I pray that this school, where I belong now, will continue to mold and touch the minds and hearts of the students in Godly ways.
    To God be the glory!
  • Kim Vanessa A. Aranas
    Bible Teacher

This school has an amazing ministry not just to the students but also to their families. I believe in the school’s vision and I am very convinced that it is being carried out. I experienced teaching here and my first year was not easy because of the issues that would arise in the classrooms. But then, as days passed by we noticed dramatic changes in the lives of the students. It is undeniably that the Lord is working in this place.
I am happy to be a part of this kind of school which desires equal quality education for the orphans and the less privileged people. It is humbling to be called to teach and impact the lives of the students not just for them to have a better future in the sense of educating them academically but more so, for them to know God and for them to grow in their relationship with Him. In my second year at CCS, I can attest to the amazing work the Lord is doing in the lives of the students. I feel so blessed to be in this position where I can see each child grow up and see how the Lord is working in their lives. There are so many changes happening now though there are still more to come. All of us here, whether teachers or students are being changed by God progressively and I know that we are thankful to God for giving us a safe environment for growing. I like that an imperfect and broken vessel can be used for the glory of God.

  • My name is Lovelyn delos Santos De Leon. I am 29 years old, married with 3 children. I'm working as a preschool and elementary teacher for more than 4 years. I also love joining teaching/outreach programs and enrichment seminars.

I've been teaching in different private schools and most of them were christian schools. Being here at Cuatro Christian School was very unexpected. God has a perfect plan in His own perfect time for each of us. I never thought that I see myself teaching in an institution like CCS that gives way for children in the community, not only to be educated in academics but also to mold in them a Christ Centered Life. CCS is a school with a big heart. For me teaching here at CCS gives me a unique experience, helping with these precious kids in different situation and meeting new friends, new family, new home.

One BIG thing that I like of being a teacher is that its not only a profession but also a ministry. As a teacher I have the opportunity to touch the lives of my students by sharing to them the word of God and these students will also serve as a conduit of God's message to their families.

Hi, its me, Mark! I just got here and I'm proud to be a member of team Cuatro Christian School. I'm teaching Science from grades 2 to 6. I felt like I've been working here for so long. All the staff were very supportive and accommodating. The students? Wow! They're so wonderful, full of love and vigor.Parent volunteers? They're good cooks!

Its really God's amazing grace that I was given this great privelege to serve in His kingdom through CCS. I firmly believed in its mission to serve a Christ -centered institution offered to our less-fortunate brothers and sisters.

May Our Lord continue to shower His blessings and protection to all CCS sponsors, board members, faculty staff, students and parent volunteers.I also praise and thank God for those people who made this opportunity possible.God is good!"
  • Samantha Louise Enguillo
    Volunteer Kindergarten Teacher

Why do you want to teach at CCS?
My husband and I had desired for years for God to send us to the Philippines so we could share the gospel and work with the poor. After we moved to Manila last year, I started to help tutoring kids at CCS and this year, we decided to work full-time with K.I.M. One of my passions is children’s education so I thought helping at CCS would help me not only to have an input into the life of the children but also give us an opportunity to reach out to their families and community.
    Why I like teaching!
I love seeing the joy in children’s eyes when they learn and discover new things. To me, children’s education needs to be fun and full of adventure.
  • Shirly U. Ruelos

    Grade IV-Ephesians(class adviser)
teaching Subject: Home Economics and Livelihood Education (H.E.L.E)
    Social Studies(sibika at kultura)

The reason why I came here to Cuatro Christian School is First God brought me here because of his "will" second he wanted me to teach because of different kinds of behavior,so it happens that my major subject is Home Economic & Livelihood Education and its suited to teach for them this subject.I can teach them about in a good manners and right conduct & this is a part of my subject.I enjoy teaching here in CCS because in my first day to teach I was very tired because of my walking distance up & down and though im fat and big woman I'm hard up to go down & go up stairs to climb.and that's why im challenge. I enjoyed teaching in this school because of the good standards that you have in this school & the environment too is good & also because it's a Christian School.I'm glad to here that,co's they always encourage the children to have devotion in studying the word of God and it is very important for them,so Iam very thankfull to all the supporters of this School & also to the one who established this.how I wish that God may blessed her/him so much to do this responsibilities on being servant of God.
