Sponsorships

Hearts For Love Worldwide offers a sponsorship program.  The programs that we offer are necessary.  We offer the opportunity for individuals like yourselves, organizations, churches, small businesses, and large companies to assist all Kenyans, from small children to adults pursue their dreams!

Our programs:
  • Primary School Students ~ Pre-School through 8th Grade
  • Secondary ~ Grades 9 through 12
  • University ~  Two to Four Year College Degree Programs/ Trade Schools
The Kenyan government provides free schooling for those age 3 through the 8th grade.  Even though this is a free program paid for by the government it does not cover expenses such as uniforms, school shoes, backpacks or necessary school supplies.  If a child does not have these items they are not allowed to attend.

Only those that have monetary resources attend high school.  Most young men and women who do complete their 8th grade education may never make it onto high school or university level education.  These students and their families now need to furnish uniforms, shoes, all books and supplies for classes, and tuition fees for this level of education. Because of the lack of funds many of these bright students will not attend school.  The drop out rate in Kenya is phenomenal which greatly contributes to the poverty seen today in Kenya.

Secondary school students especially those that are orphaned will not be able to attend classes because there are no resources for them.  Living in orphanages only supply the daily necessities, but once they reach a certain age they are sent out on their own where they end up on the streets, stealing and prostituting themselves to survive.  Hearts For Love Worldwide is trying to make an effort to save these kids!  With your assistance we can make a difference!  We find that the orphaned children benefit greatly when attending boarding school.  They will have their education, meals, and a warm bed to sleep in every night.

If a student is lucky enough to have completed their secondary education, unless they have financial support college level education is not and will not be available to them.  HFLW wants to change this.  We have students that have dreams of attending a university to further their education and to help themselves, their families, and their communities.  The cost is minimal in comparison to costs of university level of education in the United States.

We ask that if you cannot fund alone, please give a thought to forming a group of friends, work colleagues or family to fund a college education or trade school for a student.

As a example:
  • a local hair salon pooled their resources and paid tuition ($850) for a young woman to attend beauty school.  An orphan, she is now able to care for herself and child.
  • A family came together and gave $1000 to help a Kenyan woman, who had been raped many years before, to begin a shelter for young teen mothers who had been raped.  The center with the assistance of HFLW assists these young women to stay in school, learn how to care for their child, offer emotional and spiritual help.
  •  A high school student, who had spent several years in an orphanage was sent away to struggle on her own in her fourth year of high school.  A sponsor has paid $100 monthly this year to support her in boarding school where she receives meals and an education.  A dream come true!

If you are unable to sponsor any of our children at this time, please give consideration to contributing to our Education Fund so that HFLW will be allowed to help those students in need.

Currently HFLW personally helps to fund 3 students at the secondary level.  We have built a library and computer learning center for a children's care center.
