Children's Home - Day Care volunteering brings a sense of accomplishment. Tending to the daily needs of children who have been orphaned because their parents died from Aids, families that could no longer provide the every day needs, or through abuse and abandonment, this experience will change your heart! This program has much to offer. You will work along side of local staff in caring for the children. You will assist with homework, bathing and changing diapers with babies, laundry, and cooking. You can be creative in providing ideas and conducting games and sports activities for the children. This program available for families.

Teaching Program - The Kenyan education system has a shortage of qualified teachers. As a volunteer with the teaching program you will be given the opportunity to assist the teachers in the classrooms. At the primary level you may be involved with creating arts and crafts programs, teaching English, basic mathematics, geography, and sharing much about your home country. You will be given the opportunity to give the children the chance to view the world from a different perspective. The children are eager to learn and value the importance of an education as it is their way out of poverty.

Medical - Health Care - Volunteering in the Medical and Health Care program can be rewarding. You do not need to have credentials to work with the HIV/AIDS community education programs but a basic knowledge of health care/first aid is advised. As qualified medical personnel your duties may include assisting with diagnosing, vaccinations, bandaging, general practice duties, and dispensary assistance. The number of people needing medical care far outweighs the number of personnel to care for them. Even though strides have been made in the care and equipment used, standards may not be up to date.

Special Needs Children & Adults - It takes a special volunteer to work with special needs children and adults and we are hoping that your heart is open to the task. These are the forgotten ones! In years past many special needs children were hidden away or killed as the shame was unbearable to the families they were born into. Because of education and courageous family members day cares are cropping up to care for these special individuals. As a special volunteer you may be asked to work one on one with a child or adult, teaching life skills, role playing, or arts and crafts projects. Dedication and patience is needed in this program, challenging but so rewarding!
