Primary School Students ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Primary school students consist of those in "nursery school classes" through Class 8. In comparison to schools in the United States this can be from pre-school age children to Eighth Grade, (Jr. High). Public/government school is paid for in Kenya and the sponsorship fee goes toward a uniform, shoes, backpack, and school supplies. The schools are considerably over crowded and understaffed. Parents try to acquire the funds to send their children to private school or boarding schools. Please do not mistake "private" or boarding schools to be compared to the cost of US schools or other schools around the world, as this is not the case. The cost in comparison is very small! Depending on where the child is living, city or rural communities, or type of schools they must attend in those areas will determine the financial needs of that student. Please look through our list of children that are in the most need. Sponsorships are a personal choice and commitment. We will help you through the process. If a personal sponsorship is not for you, we ask that you contribute to our Education Fund.
