A unique way to honor someone you love with a gift of life. For $200, you can sponsor the planting of a tree in a public or private area of Goleta Valley. A handsome certificate will be sent to the person or family you designate. We’ll also put a plaque at the base of the tree with your name and the honoree. Please note that plaques in public locations are restricted to areas approved by the appropriate jutisdiction, and generally are not allowed in most parks.

GVB Honor Tree Program

- The trees are appropriate as a memorial, a thank-you, a welcome, or a farewell. You can celebrate births or birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, graduations and other noteworthy achievements. You can even dedicate a tree in your own name!

- Locations and species of trees determined by City of Goleta and Santa Barbara County planting programs. Contact us for locations.

- Trees planted in public areas are maintained for 2 years by GVB volunteers and thereafter by public agencies in the Goleta Valley .
