TITLE:                       Program Manager

PROGRAM:               Angel House

SALARY:                    $35,000 to $45,000

STATUS:                    Professional Service Staff/Exempt

SCHEDULE:              40-60 hours per week

SUPERVISOR:           Executive Director

 

DUTIES:

 

The Program Manager will direct the maternity home’s program of care and services in accordance with policies established by the Executive Director. The Program Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, firing, supervising, and training staff. S/he must be able to devise new policies, procedures, and techniques for the management of the facility as needed. The Program Manager is responsible for licensure and compliance reviews. The Program Manager must assist in the development of treatment plans which indicate problems, goals, methods, and frequency. The Program Manager will act in the absence of any staff member and must be able to responsibly delegate authority to a qualified staff member during her absence. S/he will prepare the annual budget, supervise expenditures, and operate within the budget established. Responsible for establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other social agencies, and Duties as assigned. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Applicant must have knowledge of policies and procedure for Residential Maternity Homes. S/he must demonstrate knowledge of licensure and compliance reviews, must be able to work with all staff and challenging youth. Applicant must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and be able to provide consultation and coordination of services with other agencies. The Program Manager must have good communication skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding and compassion for pregnant teens. S/he must be able to represent Angel House in the community effectively and positively.

 

 

Education/Qualifications

Must have strong communication and leadership skills. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Must have four years of administration, supervision, and management work experience in a human services field or ten years experience as a administrator or manager.
